I first designed this very cute baby hat back in 2011 when there were very few, if any, floppy bunny eared hat patterns around. Of course nowadays, there are many patterns out there for this style of hat in both knit and crochet.
So I now offer this pattern for free... please bookmark and create at your leisure, and as always, I am very grateful for your support in these difficult times. So if you could share this blog or a link of my pattern store to your social media, like or follow me on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok (or maybe all 3!) it really does help me keep designing and sharing my quirky and colourful designs with you all.
Anyway, enjoy and feel free to tag me on social media with your bunny hat makes 💜

FINISHING OFF:
Hat: Sew up seam, then attach the heart centre front - just above the ribbing and pad out slightly with wadding (or waste ends of yarn) to give the nose a slightly raised look
Ears: Fold in half width ways with right sides inwards, where the colour changes, and sew up the side seams, turn right side out, Â fasten off leaving a length of yarn for sewing, and sew ear to hat
Nose: Place heart centre front just above ribbing (or on ribbing just above cast on for 1st size only) and sew into place - when 3/4 sewn up pad out with a tiny piece of wadding (or spare waste end threads) so the nose is raised a little and sew up until sealed.
